Please note that although our servers will continue being online and we'll continue taking registrations for SeshBox, our services will be on pause for the foreseable future.

PAUSING SESHBOX... FOR HOW LONG?

Yup! After much consideration, SeshBox's future is too uncertain to continue, so to be fair to all our members and to all future members, we're putting things on hold, although we'll keep updating our databases regularly. We don't know for how long though. Might be forever or we might be back in a little while. One thing's for sure, we'll get in touch with all members the day we get back to it!

Hey SeshBoxers! Max here again. Been a while since the last update and we’ve received a few questions in the last couple of weeks that we want to share with everyone.

Again, huge thank you to all who are subscribing to SeshBox. We’re hoping SeshBox will become a great way for LPs and budtenders to connect by allowing LPs to send you some free samples of their products so that you can be more knowledgeable about the stuff you’re selling and recommending to customers.

I’VE SUBSCRIBED LIKE A MONTH AGO AND STILL MY ACCOUNT SAYS IT’S “PENDING CANNSELL VALIDATION” WTF?

SeshBox is a bit of a victim of its own success. We are past the 1,200 members (!) mark at this time which is absolutely awesome, but it does come with some challenges.

The main challenge, is that we actually miscommunicated our intentions with CannSell and we thought we’d be able to get those certificates validated pretty fast and effortlessly but when we all saw the sheer number of certificates to validate, everyone freaked out a little bit so we're now trying to find alternative methods here.

We think we have this part covered but are still working on it. In all fairness, SeshBox is new, and it took everyone a bit by surprise, I think. That's on us; More planning ahead would have probably helped.

I’M STARTING TO THINK THIS WAS AN INFO PHISHING SCAM. IS SESHBOX EVEN REAL?

I can assure you SeshBox is real.

Your information is safe with us; All sensitive information including your names and date of birth are fully encrypted in our database so even if something were to happen there, no sensitive information would be accessible by anyone else but SeshBox and its partners.

We are not phishing for your information. We are not selling your information to anyone. We are not sharing your information with anyone except our partners who help make SeshBox work, and it’s pretty much only your name and the address of the store you work at, so packages can be labelled to your attention.

WHEN AM I GETTING MY SESHBOX?

So this is in our FAQ as well but we are getting questions on when you’re going to receive your SeshBox. This really depends on the LPs we are partnering with and if they have any product samples they’d like to send your way. We're working on a little care package while we secure more partner LPs for our first SeshBox which we hope will be sent out in the months to come.

Hey SeshBoxers! My name is Max and I am with SeshBox.

First, I want to say a huge thanks to all who subscribed to our service so far and I also want to clear the air and reassure anyone who got confused about SeshBox.

IS SESHBOX A SCAM? ARE YOU JUST FISHING FOR MY INFO?

Your information is safe with us. 100% encrypted in our database and will never be shared with anyone except in accordance with our Privacy Policy which you can find here

WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH ALL THE BRANDS?

SeshBox has no association with any of the great cannabis brands out there and no cannabis brands have any association with SeshBox.

SeshBox is an independent service meant to be used as a "bridge" between brands and budtenders so that brands can deliver samples of their products directly to budtenders and budtenders can provide feedback and reviews back to the brands. Afterall, budtenders are the ones selling this stuff so you know better than anyone else.

Great companies like those who you saw on our flyer are some of our favorites and we felt like promoting them would be a good idea and would provide additional free brand exposure for them. SeshBox is all about building relationships between budtenders and brands so that's what we're trying to do here. We've reached out to all of them and a whole bunch more and hope they will find value in SeshBox and so will you.

QUICK NOTE ON CannSell

Another thing that some people got confused about is why we ask for your CannSell information. Please note that we have no association with CannSell at all and CannSell is not associated with SeshBox in any way. SeshBox simply requires you are CannSell-Certified to use our service because that's a government requirement to work at an authorized retail store and is the only way for us to know that you are authorized to work in a legal retail cannabis store in Ontario and therefore eligible for SeshBox. This is why SeshBox is "For CannSell-Certified budtenders only".

WHY WE CREATED SESHBOX

If you work in a Cannabis Retail Store in Ontario you know that there's no real good way to sample products. So how the heck are we supposed to really know what we are selling to our customers?

This is extremely frustrating because we're probably the only industry where the producers of the products we sell are not allowed to make us try their products. They are only allowed to "talk" about them, so we have to rely on so-called "PK Sessions" that are not really helping us understand how a product tastes like, feels like, burns like, etc. We have to rely only on the promises that whoever is leading that "PK Session" tells us.

Obviously we all know that the rules have been broken a few times and some reps of some LPs have been nice enough to give out samples or find creative ways to let us try their products and that's great BUT, what if you weren't at the store when that happened? What if the rep just left one pre-roll for the entire store? You get the idea. I'm sure you've probably experienced this yourself! Not cool. Not fair.

Now put yourself in the shoes of smaller producers... They work super hard to bring the best possible products out there, but they don't have a lot of money to spend on promoting their products. Even less to pay a sales rep to go tour all stores in Ontario to do "PK Sessions". That's where SeshBox comes in.

WHY SESHBOX LOOKS SO SKETCHY

It's actually a bit on purpose! We wanted to replicate the way we used to interact with our dealers on the legacy market back in the day... all through SMS and then if you're old enough, by pagers! It's also because, it's so much simpler by text!
